Senior Quality Engineer

The Senior Quality Engineer supports new business and project teams in all quality-related aspects throughout the entire development and industrialization process. The role focuses on ensuring quality requirements, process control, and customer requirements from the RFQ phase through SOP and the launch of serial production, in accordance with IATF 16949. The position works closely with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, Operations, and customers.

New Business & Sales Support

  • Support new business activities from a quality perspective.
  • Contribute quality input to RFQs, quotations, and business cases.
  • Review and translate customer-specific requirements (CSRs) and OEM/Tier 1 quality standards.
  • Advise on quality aspects, risks, and control measures.
  • Participate in customer meetings, project reviews, and audits.

Project Quality Engineering

  • Coordinate quality activities within multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Work according to APQP methodology and project milestones.
  • Ensure delivery of quality documentation for each project phase.
  • Identify and follow up on quality risks.
  • Guide and support colleagues within the Quality department.

Quality Engineering

  • Support quality assurance within assembly and stamping processes.
  • Develop and maintain PFMEAs, Control Plans, and PPAP documentation.
  • Contribute to process capability, SPC, and MSA activities.
  • Support industrialization, process improvements, and production start-up.
  • Conduct process and quality system audits.

Customer & Issue Management

  • Support the resolution of complex quality issues.
  • Coordinate 8D problem-solving processes and Root Cause Analyses.
  • Monitor implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Support customer escalations, audits, gate reviews, and SOP approvals.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree level, preferably in Engineering, Automotive, or Quality.
  • Experience as a (Senior) Quality Engineer in an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
  • Experience with project-based work in new business and industrialization is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Analytical, structured, and results-oriented.
